Broccoli: 1.4 oz
Turnip: 1.5 oz
Spinach: 0.6 oz
Lettuce: 2.2 oz
Radish: 13.3 oz
Beets: 2.2 oz
I got a bit impatient with my beets. They've been in the ground since November, so I pulled some hoping there was more beet below ground than what I saw above ground. Well, not really.
The radishes are much larger than the beets:
My weekly total was 1.77 lbs bring the first month of the year to 13.63 lbs. Even though I would love to see some snow, this mild winter is making my first winter garden far more productive than I ever thought possible.
I see that you too are going through a photographing veg on scales phase. I suspect it can be addictive.....
ReplyDeleteCan you tell I'm still thrilled with having a digital scale? I wonder what my next gardening phase will be...
DeleteIt's very strange for someone in the North country to be reading about garden produce and planting peas... :) The photographs of you nature walk are absolutely stunning. Glad I ran across your interesting blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It has been a very warm and mild winter here. I have never planted peas this early before, a bit of a gardening experiment. Peas do not enjoy the heat and humidity of our southern climate. Stay warm up in the North country!
DeleteI did not plant radishes or beets last fall, and my spinach did not come up. However, the broccoli and greens are doing very well...especially with these warmer temps. Your radishes look delicious....plump and round...
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem with late planted carrots and beets and parsnips. I will definitely be planting earlier this year!
ReplyDeleteThey look good, even if they are small. :)
