And I hear you on the carrots. ...Beautiful harvest. And I hear you on the carrots. I keep hoping the summer heat will die down soon. I have some fall carrots in and if the heat keeps up they will get bitter. The early growth in the heat seems fine, but if they put on bulk in the heat they won't be good for anything but cooking. I only grow my carrots in the spring and fall. But usually by now we start to see some more cooler temperatures. They seem to have fewer pests then too.
